Our Privacy Promise
We don't track you. We don't collect your data. We don't sell your information. Your searches are private, always.
1. Introduction
Welcome to CleanFinding. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring a safe, clean search experience. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle (or rather, don't handle) your personal information.
2. Information We DON'T Collect
Unlike other search engines, CleanFinding does NOT collect:
- Your search queries or search history
- Your IP address or location data when you search (the one exception, our site submission tool, is covered in 3.4 below)
- Browser fingerprints or device information
- Cookies for tracking purposes
- Personal identifiers of any kind
- User accounts or profiles
3. Information We DO Collect
We collect minimal technical information necessary to operate the service:
3.1 Email Waitlist
If you sign up for our waitlist, we collect:
- Your email address (only if you voluntarily provide it)
- Timestamp of signup
This information is stored securely and used only to notify you about CleanFinding updates.
3.2 Contact Form Submissions
When you contact us through our contact form, we collect:
- Your name and email address
- The content of your message
This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry.
3.3 Technical Data
Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may collect basic technical data for security and performance purposes, but this data is not linked to your identity and is automatically deleted.
3.4 Site Submission Requests
If you use our "Submit your site for indexing" tool, we collect:
- The URL you submit
- Your IP address, used only to enforce a rate limit (5 submissions per IP per day) and prevent abuse
- Timestamp of submission
This is the only feature where we collect an IP address. It is not linked to your search activity anywhere else on CleanFinding.
4. How We Use Your Information
For the minimal data we collect:
- Waitlist emails: To send you launch notifications and important updates (you can unsubscribe anytime)
- Contact form submissions: To respond to your inquiries and provide support
- Site submission requests: To enforce our submission rate limit and prevent abuse of the tool
- Technical data: To prevent abuse and ensure service stability
5. Third-Party Services
We use minimal third-party services to operate CleanFinding:
5.1 Search Results Provider
We use Serper API to fetch search results. Your searches are sent to Serper with SafeSearch enabled, but we do not store or track your queries.
5.2 Hosting & CDN
We use Cloudflare for hosting. Cloudflare may collect basic technical data for security purposes. Review their privacy policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
5.3 Contact Form
We use FormSubmit for contact form submissions. Messages are forwarded to our email without storing your data on external servers.
5.4 YouTube API Services (Beacon Studio)
Beacon Studio, our AI toolkit for YouTube creators, uses the YouTube API Services to let you audit and manage your own channel. By connecting your YouTube account in Beacon Studio, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and this section discloses how Beacon Studio accesses, uses, and shares YouTube API data as required by those terms. You can review how Google handles your data at the Google Privacy Policy.
Specifically, Beacon Studio:
- Reads your channel and video metadata (titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails, and public statistics) via the YouTube Data API, in order to generate audits and suggestions.
- Writes only when you explicitly tap "Apply" on a specific suggestion - updating a video's title, description, tags, or thumbnail. Nothing is changed or published automatically; every write is a distinct action you approve.
- Does not access your subscriptions, playlists (beyond reading your uploads list to find your videos), comments, live broadcasts, or channel/account settings, and cannot delete videos or your channel.
- Sends API requests directly from your device to Google's servers using your own OAuth token - YouTube data is not proxied through, or stored on, any server we operate.
- Does not share YouTube API data with any third party, and does not use it for advertising.
You can revoke Beacon Studio's access to your YouTube account at any time from your Google Account's third-party access settings, or by tapping "Reconnect" and signing out in Beacon Studio's Connect Accounts screen.
5.5 Web Crawler (CleanFindingBot)
We operate a web crawler, CleanFindingBot, that fetches publicly available pages from other websites to build our own first-party search index, reducing our reliance on third-party search providers over time. Crawled page text and metadata are stored on our servers and pass through an automated safety classifier before a page can ever appear in search results. This process only touches publicly published website content - it does not collect anything about you as a visitor. Site owners can block CleanFindingBot or request removal at any time; see cleanfinding.com/crawler-info for details.
6. Cookies
CleanFinding uses minimal cookies:
- Essential cookies: Required for basic site functionality (session management)
- No tracking cookies: We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies
Your browser's local storage may temporarily store your waitlist signup status for user experience purposes only.
7. Data Sharing
We do NOT sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Ever.
We may share information only in these limited circumstances:
- When required by law or legal process
- To protect our rights, property, or safety
- With your explicit consent
8. Children's Privacy
CleanFinding is designed to be safe for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access any personal data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your data (email us at privacy@cleanfinding.com)
- Unsubscribe from our waitlist at any time
- Opt-out of any future communications
10. Data Security

- Secure data storage with encryption at rest
- Regular security audits
- Minimal data retention (we delete old data regularly)
11. International Users
CleanFinding is available worldwide. If you're accessing our service from outside the United States, please note that your information may be transferred to and processed in the US where our servers are located.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by:
- Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
- Sending an email to waitlist subscribers (for significant changes)
13. Contact Us
